It was a Beautiful, sunny Saturday morning when a young seventeen year old Gryffindor beauty a woke from her sleep and looked around her dormitory. All her room mates were still asleep so she quietly got off her bed and stretched. This beauty was Buffy Ann Dumbledore.
Buffy looked around once more as she picked up her bathrobe and toiletries and walked into the bathroom to have a shower to wake herself up some more. Once she was finished she walked back into her dormitory and got dressed.
Into a pair of black denim hipster jeans and a white v-neck halter neck t-shirt. She sat down on her bed as she brushed her blonde hair and put it up in a high pony tail. Curving her fringe around her face, Buffy stood up and pushed her feet into a pair of white joggers and she walked out into an empty common room.
After sitting in the common room for a few minutes, by herself. Buffy left the Gryffindor tower and walked down the long stair case until she reached the corridor that lead to the courtyard. As she walked along the corridor she slowly began to think about some things that had been going through her mind.
Things that she wasn't too sure of and things that she needed time to think through. But she didn't know where most of these thought where coming from.
Buffy walked into the courtyard and looked around. Empty. Just like everywhere else in the castle at this time of morning and that is how Buffy like it. Nice and quite.
She walked over to the water fountain and sat down on the edge and looked into it. She smiled as she looked at her reflection then she looked around the courtyard and closed her eyes as the cool breeze hit her face.

A sunny, Sunday morning. A perfect day to go for an early morning stroll or what not? It was early, but that's why they call it an early morning stroll, because your going to be walking somewhere, early in the morning, thought the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with an amused grin. He decided, since he loved the sun so much, and he hadn't gone for a walk in ages, that he was going to go for a nice stroll around the courtyards. And so, Albus Dumbledore grabbed his hat, his cloak, and his half-moon spectacles and walked out the door of his office, down his enchanted stairs and out of sight.
He started to walk down the hall at a quick pace, then finding the corridor that lead off to the stairs and down to the Entrance Hall, he went left. Albus went down the stairs, making sure to avoid all the trick stairs, at a young man's pace. Like people said, he was always exploding with energy... literally. Some people said he was, Dumbledore, always a young man at heart. And that's what kept Dumbledore going... always telling himself, "I'm always a young man at heart... never an old man."
As Dumbledore made his way down through the Entrance Hall, he caught sight of the courtyard. Aah, he thought with glee, his blue eyes sparkling with joy and happiness at seeing his grounds so well cared for, it is going to be a nice day, and a nice walk, that's for sure. Albus adjusted his cloak and headed for the doors- he went past the doors- and then he closed his eyes and sighed deeply as a soft, spring breeze hit his warm, worn looking face. He closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again and saw something he imagined he wouldn't.
His granddaughter was sitting on a bench just near to him. He didn't think he'd see Buffy out here on this early morning. His eyes twinkled with... well, twinkled, as he thought, time to have a conversation with my granddaughter.
He walked up to her, silent as a fox, then stood in front of her. Then in his voice which anyone could recognize in an instant, he said, "Now, what is a beautiful young lady like you, doing out here this early on such a beautiful day?"

Buffy sighed slightly as she kept her eyes closed. The cool brezze was blowing through her hair and over her face and it felt calming and soothing. She lightly clicked her tongue bar against her teeth as she sighed again.
She slightly raised her eyebrow as the sun shining on her face was bloked by something or someone. And she smiled when she heard her gradfather talk. Her eyes slowly opened and she looked up at him, "Hello to you to" she smiled then gently shrugged, "I woke up and then I couldn't get back to sleep so..." she sighed and then looked around for a moment then she looked back at him, "What about you why are you out here?" she asked him.

He listened to her speak and then she finished quickly, just giving him the basics. He replied, "Well, seeing as I don't get to get out very much, and i have been longing for a nice walk, I decided to get up nice and early, get out of the castle and go for a stroll. Is your grandfather, or your Headmaster for that matter, not allowed to have a nice early morning stroll, or even have his own free will and to be able to get away from paper work and such?" he asked her sarcastically, and amused smile on his face.
Albus Dumbledore rarely got out, and if he did he'd have to face the many students asking him questions about certain rmours or, if they could do something with Dumbledore's permission etcetera. So that is why you rarely ever see him outdoors... he would just get swarmed by... well, everyone! And he, even with his gifted mind, could probably not take all of that at once. So that is why he took these, rare, occasional early morning walks.

Buffy looked at him and slightly laughed as she shook her head , "Well it is your school" she siad as she looked at him, "You can do what ever you want to" she smiled as she looked at him then she slightly flicked her hair out of her face and looked around.
She listened as the birds around them sung and she smiled as she listened to their song then she looked at the clear blue sky and the fluffy white clouds that where in there. "Well I must say it is a nice day to go for a stroll" she said as she looked around the sky then back at Dumbledore.

"Ah yes, I forgot this was my school," he laughed heartily. "I guess being Headmaster for a long time really let's you forget all about it, since it's all the same to you and nothing changes..." he sighed and looked down at Buffy. "Well, I can almost do anything. The only thing I can't do is make another of me so I could just relax out here," he laughed again. This time even more full of glee then the last. Albus Dumbledore always seemed to crack people up... an even crack himself up too.
Then Albus thought of an idea. The perfect grandfather/faughter moment. "Say," he started, "do you want to come on a walk with me? Just, all around the grounds and here I guess. But, i'll understand if you don't want too... hang ou with your boring old grandfather," he looked at her with puppy dog eyes and he made a fake, sad face.

Buffy looked at him and laughed slightly. She nodded as he had been headmaster of Howgarts for a very long time even though sometimes it doesn't show. She looked around then looked back at him and laughed, "Well you could if you tried" she said with a michievous smile on her face.
She looked around as she thought about the walk then when she looked at him as he finished and slightly laughed. She looked at his face and smiled, "Now how can I say no to that face" she smiled then laughed. "But yes I would like to go for a walk with my grandfather. And your not boring" she smiled.

He smiled sympatheticly and took her hand. "That is one of the best thing someone has ever said to me... I am not boring. Oh praise Merlin," he bowed his head slightly and his half moon spectacles slightly fell down his nose, but he quickly adjusted them. "Well, shall we go?" he asked her as he let go of her hand. "Ladies first, always," he reminded her. Dumbledore could be a gentleman if need be.
Finally, a little down time with his granddaughter. Dumbledore's definently not going to midn this at all. I'm definently not going to mind this at all, he thought, smiling, a twinkle in his blue eyes. But who, even someone who wasn't his family and blood, refuse to walk with supposedly the greatest wizard of all time? No one, right? Right.

Buffy looked at her grandfather and slightly laughed as she shook her head. She looked around the courtyard as she thought about somewhere to go. But nothing had popped into her head just as yet. SHe thought about it a bit more then she looked over at her grandfather and slightly raised her eyebrow.
"I don't know where to go" she smiled as she looked at him. "Why don't you pick someone?" she asked as she slightly flciked her hair back out of ehr face. It was going to be nice to spend some time with her Grandfather, as Buffy never really got the chance to. SHe was nither too busy or he was.

"Well, since I am here, why don't we take a small stroll into the forest, see what we find. Then after, we can come back here as it may be time for me to get back up to my office," he looked up at the early morning sky. "Well, what do you say? A nice stroll or what?" he asked her, finishing his string of questions to her.
Dumbledore was good at hiding his worries. Right now he was worried for everyone... Voldemort was back... the school was in danger and it was mighty possible that Dumbledore... for all he's worth... was getting old faster than he could manage. He still had that energy, personality and integrity of the not so old, old Dumbledore but his face... his face hd changed and as did his whole body. It was making him feel less... like himself.
