Pansy Parkinson sat outside the owlry, a letter in one hand and a hankerchief in the other. She dabbed at the corners of her eyes as tears formed and looked up at the sky as a flock of owls came into sight. She stood up and sniffled a bit before turning and standing in the doorway as the owls made their way in and landed on their perch to rest. She went over to a certain grey owl with a black ring around its eye. She reached out with her gloved hand and stroked the creature gently on the side of its face. The owl nipped at her finger gently and clicked its beak happily.
"I'm sorry to bring you a letter so soon, but I've just got to try once more."
She said quietly to the owl, whom she called Tupsy. She tied a rolled up piece of parchment to Tupsy's leg and smiled.
"Now, you don't have to take off right away. Rest as long as you need. Alright?"
She said giving the owl another stroke on the face. She looked around at the other owls and then turned and went out the door.

Harry Potter was clutching a letter tightly in his hand. He had promised Lupin that he would keep him aware of everything that happened inside of the school, and he wanted to keep that promise. He was about to enter the owlery when he bumped into a familiar Slytherin girl in the doorway. Pansy Parkinson.
"Watch where you're going." He snapped at her.

She had been staring at the floor as she walked out of the door, (That rhymed! ^^) and jumped when she almost ran into someone. That someone was none other than Harry Potter.
"Yipes! Sorry."
She said as she got out of his way and walked over to the side of the winding stairway that lead back down to the castle. (I think it was on the outside. The stairs. -thinks- Can't remember. -needs to watch the fourth movie again-) She looked out across the grounds at the lake and smiled a little as she saw the Giant Squid chasing a few first years that decided to go for a swim in his territory.

"No harm done." Harry ensured her. "Just be more careful next time. I don't wanna break anything."
He watched her as she left, and figured that she didn't want to talk to him anymore, which didn't bother him very much. He called Hedvig down and fastened the letter to her leg.
"Bring this to Lupin." He told her, while patting her back. "And be safe now."

She bit her lip as she stared ahead of her at the scenery, her fist clenched as she thought about what her father would say about Draco dumping her. Of course, he'd blame her for either not being pretty enough for him, or just...whatever excuse he could come up with. Her father had only approved of her dating him because of how rich and in charge his father was. Now that it was over, her father was sure to either hit her, or just refuse to let her live at home anymore.
Pansy shut her eyes tight as a hot tear streamed down her face and fell to the ground. She opened her eyes and then looked over her shoulder to see Harry giving his snowy owl Hedwig a letter and watched as it flew off into the sky.

(in the movie it's outside... can't remember how it's in the books)
Harry turned around, and noticed the Slytherin girl lying on the floor, crying. He felt that he had to do something. Even though she was a Slytherin, it didn't have to make him heartless.
"What's wrong?" He asked her.

She looked at him as he spoke to her, and stayed silent for a few minutes. She glanced around seeing if he had been talking to someone else other than her, a Slytherin. She looked back at him and shook her head.
"It's nothing. Don't worry about it."
She sighed and glanced over his shoulder at the owl she had put a note on and noticed it was still there. If she hurried, she might have a chance to take the letter back and rip it up. She hesitated a moment too late, the owl took off into the sky.

I won't. Harry thought, but didn't say it. It had taken enough currage to say those words, then why did she have to push him away? Problably because she was a Slytherin, and he a Gryffindor. He shrugged, and just thought that he didn't care anyway.
He turned back to the window and watched as another owl flew away.

She looked at him and realized she'd probably seemed Slytherin-ish with the whole...not talking to Gryffindors thing. She ran a hand through her hair and bit her lip.
"Sorry, not trying to seem...mean. It's just something I can't talk about. With anyone. No matter what house they're in. Or whether they're Pure blood, or not."
She looked up as the owl she called Tupsy, flew away. She just blew her last chance at getting that letter back and destroying it. Oh well.

"That's alright." Harry shrugged again.
His mind wasn't really on the whole Slytherin vs. Gryffindor thing right now. He just couldn't stop imagining Buffy and Draco.. together. That was the worst thought ever.
"So, you're also sending a letter this late?" He forced himself to keep on talking. Maybe this could clear his mind off that other thought.
