"Hermione..." Dumbledore breathed. "If someone blows up a card house, that is something that is not even worth punishing. For all you know it could be on purpose, with some kids just trying to have a bit of fun and games before studies kick in. Just leave it be..." Dumbledore shook his head and stopped himself from laughing. He looked at Harry and smiled gleefully.
"Is there anything else, Miss Granger? As you can see there's just moew then me and you, but you're welcome to join us..." Dumbledore smiled the same way at Hermione as he did Harry.

Hermione was relieved.
"No nothing at all" she turned at harry and beamed. She walked out and went into the hall and made her in to make more scarves for s.p.e.w.

Harry watched her leave. He had been pretty sure that Exploding Cards weren't illegal, but Hermione had been really safe in her case, too, which had made him doubt a bit. Though this time, it seemed like he had been the one who was right. Getting his mind off those thoughts, they went back to the more important ones; What was he going to tell Dumbledore?
"Um, professor." He mumbled very silently. "Did you want to talk to me about something?" He tried to ask.

Dumbledore turned to Harry as Hermione left. He looked at him for awhile before Harry finally piped up. The question was- was odd for Harry. So Dumbledore answered his question, though.
"No, Harry. It's the exact opposite, I know that for a fact. You wanted to talk to me about something, personal, important, or just because you needed to talk to someone about something. So what may I do for you, Harry?" Dumbledore asked him in that calm voice of his; but in his voice you could hear Dumbledore either wanted the truth, or part of the truth. Well, you couldn't hear it, you could feel it.

Harry swallowed. He had no idea of what he should tell the man, but he would never be able to lie to him.
He is a greatly skilled Oclumens. He thought. He could be reading my mind right now..
Harry tried to block out all thoughts, but he had never been very good at it. So he just hoped, that Dumbledore would leave his mind alone.
"I..." He began. "It was a mistake." He finaly said, while nodding. "I changed my mind."

Dumbledore raised his eyebrows at Harry's answer. Then he nodded knowingly. Harrry wanted to say something that was important to him, but he changed his mind. And Dumbledore had no right to pry it out of him. So, since Harry was here, Dumbledore was going to make the best of it.
"Well then, Harry, you can either leave or stay. If you stay, help yourself to some fudge," he pointed to a bowl of chocolate fudge on a small wooden table, "Or you can leave," he finished.

Harry hesitated. What should he do? He knew Dumbledore wanted to know, but shouldn't Buffy tell him herself? And what would Dumbledore say? Would he approve, or would he get dissappointed?
"I think you should call Buffy." He said, not moving out of his seat. "She has something she wants to tell you."

Dumbledore raised his silver eyebrows in curiousity. Sure, he was a skilled Occlumens, but he didn't want to violate Harry's personal space... the real personal space called the mind, that is.
"So your telling me to call Buffy? Your telling me that you came up here to talk about Buffy and for me to call her? It seems like you, Harry, wanted to talk yourself but decided it was best if Buffy was to tell me instead." Dumbledore sighed and took off his hat and set it on his desk. He stood up and went to the table, and took a piece of fudge.
He took a small bite, and then continued on, "Harry, all young people have secrets, even you have secrets you might not tell someone. People even have secrets they don't even know about! Like you, Harry... but anyway, Buffy has her secrets. She's a young person, and will choose to tell me these secrets if she feels she must or needs to.
"Let me ask you this, Harry. Do you think Buffy would come up here and ask me to have you come up here and tell your secret to me? I don't know all your secrets, and I don't know what's coming. Or what about Hermione, do you think she'd do this to you or Buffy just because you see it should be done?" Dumbledore asked Harry in a still calm voice. But you could feel Dumbledore's wisdom, and you could feel his emotions.

Harry just felt more and more embarassed as Dumbledore spoke. It had been a complete mistake to go come his office, and Harry felt so stupid. Dumbledore was calm, but Harry knew he found his actions wrong. Dumbledore did not wish him to tell him anything about another persons privat life, and Harry knew the headmaster was right.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled, looking away from those blue eyes. "I should just go."
He stood up from his seat, and regretted so deeply that he hadn't just kept his mouth shut from the beginning. Why was he such an idiot?

Dumbledore took another piece of fudge and then sat back down at his desk. He heard Harry's apoligy and nodded, and then he saw Harry getting up to leave. Dumbledore finished the fudge quickly and wiped his face with a napkin. He then looked at the back of Harry's head, and spoke.
"Harry. Why don't you stay? There must be something you must want to talk about other then a persons personal life. Sure it may bother you, but there must be much more then that in that brilliant mind of yours that you can actually speak about to me with no violation of someone's life..." Dumbledore finished, smiling.
