"Oh, wow." Amanda said, and her eyes widened. She couldn't belive, that Ginny actually knew Harry Potter that well. "He saved you? My father told me about how he managed to get Diggory out of the maze. He wasn't alive, then, but Potter still saved him. Does he do that a lot? Do you get to talk to him often, then, since he's your brother's best friend?" She hesitated once more, starting to feel a bit silly. "Sorry for asking all those questions..."
Amanda immediatly regretted she had mentioned Ginny's brother. That was obviously a subject she did not like to talk about. Amanda faintly remembered her father talking about that boy, when Cornelius was the Minister. He had always spoked of Percy as eager, but a bit too eager.
"I'm sorry to hear that." Amanda said. "But my father always spoke very highly of him." She then lied.
"Oh, he still works at the Ministry." She told Ginny. "He's the head of the Misuse of Magic department, and he's still in the Wizangamot."

"Oh well, that's good ..." Ginny was a bit surprised at the bit about Fudge retaining his standings in the Wizengammot, after Harry had told them about his totally unethical handling of Harry's hearing a few summers ago. Yet Ginny wasn't going to stand here and rag on Amanda's dad. She seemed like a rather nice person ... and that would be a sure-fire way of making an enemy, which was something Ginny didn't need more of lately, what with the whole situation with Voldemort and his Death Eaters ...
She smiled at Amanda's rapid-fire questions about Harry. "Nah, you're fine. Yeah, that's pretty much what Harry does - you know, saves people." She thought back on that for a moment. "Good thing too, I mean, I'm the last person to disagree with it. We're pretty good friends, too, Harry and I ..." She paused on that and nodded resolutely. "Yeah. Friends. I'm sure you'll meet him some time. Have you had the chance to wander around here a lot yet?"

"Yeah, I'm just glad he was able to stay in the Ministry." Amanda admitted honestly. "If he wouldn't, then he'd probably become all miserable and leave it to mum to pay the bills." She sighed. She didn't usually talk negativly about her father, but then again she had never had anyone to talk with about him. "He really loved being the Minister, you know. But after all that with You-Know-Who, he was bound to get sacked..."
"You think so?" Amanda asked, as Ginny told her she would probably meet him. "That would be great." She then shook her head, and took a glance at her trunks on the floor. "I've only just been sorted... Haven't even seen my commonroom yet." She took a look around and remembered something Flitwick, her head of house, had told her. "Have you eaten breakfast, yet? I'm getting quite hungry."

She raised her eyebrows slightly. "Really - you haven't seem your Common Room yet? I always slightly wondered how the Ravenclaw Common Room was like ... I mean Gryffindor's pretty cozy, I always thought Slytherin comparable with Snape's dungeon classroom, and the Hufflepuff's littered with fluffy chairs and plants ..." She shrugged slightly.
"Have you eaten breakfast, yet? I'm getting quite hungry."
"A bit this morning - but we're almost at lunch, hon." She laughed cheerily, and pointed up to the giant oak doors that led into the Great Hall. "Well if you didn't have breakfast this morning, I'm surprised you haven't gone spare yet! Come come ..." She hooked arms with the girl, and started up the staircase, pausing a few steps up. "Hm ... you want to take your trunks up to your Common Room first?"

Amanda looked at her watch, and saw that it was indeed as Ginny had said. The time had just flown away, while she had been talking to Ginny. She went to follow her, and had completely forgotten about her trunks, until Ginny menitoned them.
"Right." She mumbled. "But that won't be neccessary."
Amanda took out her wand, pointed it at her trunks and then said the spell she needed.
"Locomotor trunks. Ravenclaw commonroom."
The trunks hovered above the air for some seconds, and then flew past them and up through the stairs, disappearing out of sight. Amanda smiled at Ginny.
"Let's go have lunch, then."
[should we move this to the Great Hall?]

Hermione then walked into the great hall hair up into a bun. "Hello Ginny, have you seen your brother, I've been looking all over for him, he promised that he'll knit scarves for my s.p.ew, if I gave him somthing in return..... Nevermind that, have you seen him?" she asked eagerly, she turned to amanda and gave a smile. "Oh, Hello, I'm Hermione! I hear you Fudge's Daughter." she said, she said Fudge very loosley seeing what greif he had gave Harry, Ron, and Hermione in their fifth year.

(( OOC: Sure, we should probably move into the Great Hall in a few postts or so. Hey Mione! Long time, no rp. ))
"Erm ..." Ginny hadn't seen her brother around lately, but at the mention of S.P.E.W. knitting, she had a faint inkling why Hermione couldn't find him. Lately he had laid off from ranting about how pointless the whole elf thing was, when they seemed perfectly happy, for the sake of his girlfriend, but Ginny knew the day her brother eagerly decided to knit was the day that ... Malfoy and Harry decided to become blood brothers ...
She was spared the bother of mentioning that, though, as Hermione continued on to notice Amanda, and as usual her friendly side took over. Ginny was pleasantly surprised that Hermione could introduce herself to Fudge's child without any sign of irritation against the man who had made life for the trio so harsh a few years ago. "Yeah, this is Amanda ... Amanda, Hermione - Hermione, Amanda ..."

Amanda smiled at the brown-haired girl called Hermione Granger. She was quite surprised, that this girl already knew who she was. The rumour must've spred quite fast, that she was Cornelius's daughter. She sighed lightly.
"It's nice to meet you." Amanda said after Ginny had introduced her. She took a glance at the badge on her chest. "I see you are a Gryffindor like Ginny. What house are you in?"
[no, that's alright, Hermione... I haven't joined many rp's yet]

"I'm Gryffindor, a prefect to be exact!" Hermione turned around to Ron coming toward the Great hall, she smiled then Ron stalked off. "Urg, I guess I'll be knitting alone again" she said sighing. "Anyways, Nice meeting you Amanda!" then turned after Ron. "Ron, dont you walk away from me!" she shouted walking after him.
