Harry breathed in once, before he was going to tell her the whole story.
"Well, I was at Hogsmeade and then I met Malfoy, Buffy and Pansy Parkinson." He paused. "Malfoy and I started shouting at eachother, and then I left. But he followed me and used Sectum Sempra, when I wasn't ready." He paused. "That coward. My wand was still in my pocket."

Harry smiled widely. He was so relived. She wasn't on 'Malfoy's side'. When he had talked to Buffy, she had told him that she still loved Malfoy. How could she love a murderer.
"Yeah." Harry's smile slowly faither away, as he started to remember the pain he had had after that attack. "I would have died, if Parkinson wouldn't have taken me to the hospital Wing."

Harry laughed. He had discovered a new side of Pansy a day in the Owlery. That was the first time she had really talked to him, and he had felt a bit awkward at first, but then he had worked out that she just wanted to be friends... luckily.
"Thanks." He said. "And it does count." He grinned.

Harry looked at her, a friendly smile on his face. He could tell that she meant what she said, and he was thankful.
"It does." He told her honestly. "It's always good that someone's with me." He nodded.
In his years at Hogwarts he had experienced a lot. One of those things was to have everyone turn against him... that had actually happen a lot of times. He saw a long, slimey arm coming up from the water. It had to be the giant squid. It seemed to twirl itself around a fish, before disappearing back into the lake.
"How is it with you and school?" Harry asked Kate. "Do you enjoy being at Hogwarts?"

Harry shrugged, thinking about the Dursleys.
"Same here." He nodded. "Actually I hate my home. I live at my muggle-wizard-hating aunt and uncle, you see. I feel that Hogwarts is my real home." He shrugged one more time. "At least I won't have to return to the Dursleys ever again, since I am soon to become an adult."
Harry thought about his own condition, and he knew that he had a lot of friends. Some better than others of course.
"Well, you've got me." He smiled gently at her. "My best subject is definatly Defence Against the Dark Arts." He switched subject again. "But I'm not bad at the others, though."

"I agree." Harry said. "I always loved Lupin's class. Too bad he left."
He couldn't tell her, that he was actually in contact with their past teacher, because no one out of the Order was supposed to know. Harry grabbed a rock with his hand, and threw it out into the lake. It made the water splash, and then it sank like a.. well, rock. They were both still sitting next to eachother, and Harry was starting to feel how cold it was.
At least it's not raining. He thought. And it's not windy either. What are you complaining about, Potter?

Harry laughed as he watched the rock go on and on through the surface of the water.
"That is cheeting." He smirked. "You are using magic."
He watched the stone disappear out of sight. It was probably still skipping along the water.

Harry was about to reply with something like "Oh, yes you did." But he was taken aback by her kissing him. It wasn't a very long kiss, though. More like a peck on the lips. She had already appolgized before he had gotten a chance to react, and was now gazing at the lake. Harry was speechless. What had just happened? Seconds before they had been sitting there like friends, and now... Instead of telling her, that she shouldn't say that she was sorry he did the most stupid thing he could do. Harry stood up and said:
"I'm going back to the castle."

Harry wondered if she was going to try and stop him. He knew very well, that he was being quite mean towards her, but couldn't stop himself from walking.
Now why did she have to do that? He thought irretably.
He felt so stupid for just leaving her like that. How thick could you get?

Harry heard some noises behind him, and took a quick glance. Kate was hitting her head against a tree. He sighed, but decided to keep on walking. He wouldn't know what to say if he went back.
