((ignoring the weird title ... lol ... completely open ... anybody ... at all ... just tell Ginny to shut up ... go on ... ))
Ginny Weasley, hair in elegant curls, lips colored bright red, and legs running surprisingly fast for feet strapped into four-inch stilleto heels, throws open the portrait hole door to the Common Room, and stops for a moment, staring around at the room devoid of any other living creatures.
With a long sigh, she walks over slowly to the couch in front of the fire, kicks off her heeled shoes and topples down onto the plush red cushions, letting her legs dangle over the arm of the couch with disregard. Staring into the fire, she's able to wash away the angry thoughts that had been fuming in her head all the way up to the Common Room and finally sit and fully think out what had happened and why she was so angry.
'If you're on her side then ... then you're not on mine.'
How dare he say that! I'm always on his side, and I always will be. That's the mark of a good friend - which means I'm on Buffy's side as well. Why do there even have to be sides?
Pulling her hands up, she runs them through her red curls wearily, before shaking her head and mumbling aloud to the fire. "Sides. Screw it ... why should I have to take a side, it's not even any of my business ... I shouldn't have even gone to the stupid ball, I knew he'd be completely neurotic the whole night. I'm such an idiot ..."

(( my brother is a pervert. lol. myeh ... I dunno ... it doesn't make sense at all to do both ... I dunno ... *spent all her hard word and painstaking three minutes on this thread* lol. I just read the masquerade post, though. How about Ginny storms off anyway and comes up here? I just don't want to clog up the m. ball thread for everyone else, you know. ))

(ok.. sure, but they might go back, though;))
Harry barged into the commonroom. Ginny had either ignored him on the stairs, or just not heard him. He hoped it was the last one, because it had taken a lot of currage to appologize like that. He saw her sitting on the chair, looking very sad and let down. He had broken her heart, when he had broken up with her in his sixth year, and now she was hurt again.
"Ginny..." He said. "I'm sorry, I was out of line." He began telling her, and she didn't interrupt. "I asked you to the ball, and all I did was just being irretated with Buffy and mad at you, which was wrong." He looked down now, because it was hard to look into her brown eyes.

Staring up at him, she bites her lip, a habit she had always done unconsciously when she was nervous. Shaking her head, she smiles, and pulls herself up from where she had been lying haphazardly across the red couch. "Harry -- it's me, you can look me in the eye." Walking over, she tilts his head upwards slightly, so he's still looking down, but just at her - he was a bit taller than her. "It's allright that you resent them, and it's allright that you're mad, but you're going to have to talk to me, Harry. That's how this whole friendship thing works, you know." She nods, and backs up a bit, bending down to dig her shoes up from under the couch, then resurfacing to perch on the arm of it, the black stillettos dangling from her fingers.

Harry smiled. He felt relived that she wasn't angry anymore... or perhaps she had never been angry, just hurt. Either way, she seemed happier er now.
"I know." He said. "I have to just... try and get over it, somehow."
He looked into her eyes, noticing how much taller he was. Or was she just short? He actually liked the favt that he was talle. It wasn't funny, when you had to look up whenever you spoke to someone, or he didn't like it.
"You want to go back to the ball?" He tried asking her.

She smiles, "I was hoping you'd ask me that." Bending over, she straps the heels back onto her feet and hops off the arm of the chair.
"I'm glad the night wasn't ruined ..." She nods at him and starts out the common room portrait hole.
(( oksies, ready to go back? ... you can just post in the ball, and I'll respond. ))

Harry beamed. He had hoped she would say yes, because he really wanted to show her, that he could be a great companion to things like that.
"Let's go, then." He said, taking her arm and beginning to lead her out of the commonroom.
(*takes off to post in the ball*)
