Buffy looked at him and smiled and slightly nodded, "Yeah that's what I thought...but Harry didn't think so" she said as she looked at him then picked up her galss again. She didn't care thar Draco didn't tell her how he felt about her. She knew that he would tell her when he thought was the right time and wehn he was ready.
She looked around the hall, surpised that she hadn't seen Hermione or Ron. She would have thought that they would have been here, and would have been asked by Harry to watch over her. Then again she would have thought Harry would have been there as well, just to see if she was with Draco. Which she was and she was glad that she was there with him.

Walking into the Great Hall, Ginny smiles at the unrecognizeable decorations around the room and straightens the black silk dress she was wearing. It wasn't any fluffy or extravagant. It was just a simple ebony silk with a v-cut neck that trailed off into a lace cross-tied bodice and a skirt that hugged her lean Quidditch legs to a little above the knee. The mask, again, was simple, just a small black strip, and it was clear that above the reddened lips and under the mass of flowing red curls was Ginny Weasley. Striding over to a table, she refuses the butterbeer that a waiter offers, wondering where on earth everybody is. Of course, with all the happenings, she wasn't surprised Harry hadn't showed up. Yet where in on earth was her brother and Hermione? Noticing a very glittery Buffy across the hall, she smiles at her, before recognizing the boy with her. With a sigh, sits back in her chair. What did Buffy see in that boy? She was a Gryffindor ... she should have more sense ...

Draco looked around the room for a moment then spotted Ginny Weasley, thenhe tapped Buffy lightly on the shoulder and pointed her out.
"Go talk to her. Maybe you can find out where some of your friends are. I just spotted someone I need to have a word with anyway."
Draco smiled and stood. He kissed her cheek and walked over to a Slytherin girl who was a friend of Pansy's and began discussing how Pansy was and if she knew what was going on with her. Even though he was talking with the Slytherin girl he continued to watch Buffy. He couldn't even tear his eyes away from her long enough to even look at who he was talking to.

Buffy looked at him and nodded, "Ok then" she said as she stood up from the table and walked across the room to Ginny.
She smiled as she looked at her and sat down in a chair next to her, crossing her legs, "Hey Ginny" she smiled, "How are you?" she asked as she looked at her. But before long her eyes scanned the room and locked onto Draco and she smiled. She looked at him for a moment or two as he talked to the Shytherin girl then she looked back at Ginny

Draco watched Buffy with Ginny but then turned to finish his conversation with the Slytherin girl. He wanted Buffy to maintain contact with her friends even if he didn't like them or they didn't approve of them dating. He wasn't about to make her choose between her friends and him.

Buffy looked around again as she waited for Ginny to answer her. She knew that her friends were not the most happiest people in the world about her going out with Draco. And she couldn't understand why that was. She couldn't understand why they could be happy that she had found love and happiness with him. All they cared about was that he was a Malfoy. But 'Malfoy' is nothing more then a name. And a name doesn't represtent what the person is like on the inside.

"Hey Buffy, you look great ... I'm doing good." She greets her friend warmly and trails off noticing the frequent stares between Buffy and Draco. "Better than some." Her blunt manner usually showed up at times like this. A second after she said it, she wondered if Buffy could tell she meant Harry from that statement. A million possible subjects tangle around in her head, but all seem to closely revolve around the current issue at hand. Ginny Weasley was an open person, to new ideas and new people ... but this was Draco Malfoy ... the same Draco Malfoy who had yelled openly about his distaste for "mudbloods" in her first year, the same Malfoy who had almost got Hagrid fired with his cheap scheme, the same Malfoy who had sat watching muggles being levitated into the air at the Quidditch World Cup with obvious approval. These weren't things she could forget so easily -- yeah, maybe he had changed ... but maybe he hadn't ... she was worried about Buffy, to say the least. "I'm gonna break the ice, Buffy ... I'm not arguing with you or anything, I'm just ... curious, I mean. What-what is it about him?"

Buffy looked at her and rasied her eyebrow. She knew that she meant Harry but she wasn't going to say anything as she didn't want to get into an arguement with Ginny. Not here anyway. She looked at her and slightly crossed her arms as she leand back in the chair. She looked at Draco and smiled then she looked at Ginny, "Everything, Ginny." she said simply, "He makes me feel happy. More happy then I have ever felt in my life. And he dosen't care about who I am related to...." she said, "un like some" she said under her breath. As sometimes when she was with Harry her would treat her like a poceline doll. Making sure she didn't get hurt and taking care of her problems when she is the type of girl who can look after herself.

Draco's conversation turned into merely nods when she asked him a question. After a few moments she got annoied and walked away. Then Draco smiled at Buffy but didn't know if he should move. He did but he didn't. Buffy was there and he really wanted to be there too but there was Ginny. Oh how he hated Ginny, and Ron, and Hermione and above all Harry. He didn't have a problem with Buffy remaining friends with them...Just as long as he didn't have to. The one thing he and his father actually have in common except for their looks was their hatred for Harry Potter and the Weasleys.

She frown slightly, and replies in a low voice. "He cares about you, Buffy, he really does." Her eyes drift over to Draco Malfoy who was throwing frequent looks over towards Buffy.
"If he makes you happy, I'll stick by you on this one, Buffy. Just ... I dunno ... be careful ..." She pauses rethinking that sentence and laughs lightly. "I guess we're all a little protective -- but we're Gryffindors, we're like this." She nods and smiles. "Go on -- I'll be allright, you should go dance with your date, he's, uh, alone it looks like." She never thought she'd be talking about Malfoy as an actual person with feelings before, but the way Buffy was talking about him, he seemed he was good for her. For now. Ginny would still be on gaurd, if Buffy wasn't.
